show us your edmonton day one!

Show Us Your ____*!
Robin Lambert and I travel to unknown cities to take strangers out for breakfast in an attempt to get to know them and the city they live in. During breakfast we get to know each other a bit and we talk about what our breakfast date likes to do in the city that they live. After breakfast is finished we ask that our date answer one question: "if we do one thing in the city today, what do you think we should do?" This should be something that represents how our breakfast date sees the city and what they think other people need to know about the place they come from.

Today we met Margaret Braun at the High level Diner. She has lived in Edmonton her own life. Coincidentally she is an artist who works primarily with thread! she draws with her sewing machine. She's a pretty active woman. the list of things she suggested we do in the city was incredible. it ranged from going to art galleries for the day to the water park in the west Edmonton mall. But in the end she sent us to Rainbow valley park. The Park doubles as a ski hill in the winter and a camp ground in the summer. The path she told us to take was supposed to lead to horses! unfortunately we got lost? so we just ended up taking a lovely walk. but no horses. but here are some lovely photos of our walk. you can also click here and read Robin's version of our day. or listen to this!
