- Brette Gabel’s work spans a variety of media as she strives to carry out an ongoing investigation of boundaries of comfort and discomfort experienced during seemingly quotidian moments in time. I've always wondered about those face hole balaclavas. Aren't the eye hole/mouth hole versions far superior? I mean, your nose gets so cold. It's the first thing to go. That and the tips of your ears. FROSTBITE WILL TAKE YOUR NOSE IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE.
